This course covers the fundamentals of thermal power generation, including how gas and steam turbines work. Then, how, by the nature of their operational properties, we can benefit from combining their cycles is discussed.
The subjects of cogeneration and combined cycle plants are discussed in detail, emphasizing economic considerations and environmental impact. Sustainable power generation technologies, including solar, geothermal, and tidal power, are discussed in detail.
