Workplace Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment Prevention
After participating in this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize Workplace Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment by definition
- Recognize a Violence Risk Assessment
- Understand the impact of domestic violence
- Understand the requirement for a method to report and investigate reports of Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment
- Recognize the scope of Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment related to the Workplace
- Understand the employer's obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Understand the structure of the Policy and the Program
- Be able to create a violence risk assessment for workplaces
- Develop a violence risk assessment report
- Have a method to communicate risk assessment results
- Be able to determine the appropriate disclosure of information
- Be able to determine a method to ensure how appropriate results of the investigation will be communicated
Description
This program outlines the duties and responsibilities of the employer and affected workplace parties related to the prevention of Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace as required under section 32 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in Ontario.
Who Should Attend
Senior and Middle Management employing workers and have the responsibility for the health and safety of workplace personnel • Workplace Supervisors in charge of workplace personnel and their safety • Any person in a workplace that could be exposed to Workplace Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment.
