He is an adjunct professor at George Brown Polytechnic, where he has taught information security management for over a decade, and the owner of a security consulting firm specializing in governance, risk, compliance, incident response, and threat‑risk assessment. John has led and advised on cybersecurity programs for large public-sector organizations and regulated industries, including oversight of municipal election security, manufacturing, healthcare systems, mining operations, and industrial facilities, with hands‑on experience addressing the real‑world risks created by IT/OT integration.
