Overview
After participating in this course, you will be able to:
- Be aware of the ins and outs of a Kanban system
- Identify the symptoms of an inappropriate existing purchasing and inventory controls system
- Understand the steps of deployment of a Kanban system
- Decide what purchasing and inventory control system is more appropriate to your business context
Description
Are you disillusioned to regularly lack stock for the production? Are you obliged to put stress on your employees to compensate for low levels of inventory due to oversights and tired of having to justify to your customers the delivery delays? Then the Kanban system is for your company!
The Kanban-purchase system allows for obtaining and controlling of your inventories through automatically ordering products in real time.

Instructor
Yves Martin, MBASpécialiste en gestion des opérations et du « LEAN Manufacturing », monsieur Martin soutient les entreprises dans l'amélioration de leur productivité et de leur compétitivité.
En 2001, il fonde la firme Expert-conseil PME. Depuis, il a servi 81 entreprises et a réalisé plus de 150 mandats. Monsieur Martin fut accrédité comme chargé de projet dans le cadre de la Mesure d'Appui à la Productivité (MAP) du MDEIE en 2008. De plus, monsieur Martin a développé des outils informatiques spécialisés (amélioration continue, Kanban et 5S) vous permettant d’atteindre rapidement et à moindres coûts vos objectifs d'affaires.
Yves Martin est diplômé en 1983 en génie de l'École Polytechnique de Montréal et obtient un MBA de l'Université McGill en 1993. Avant d'être consultant, monsieur Martin a été tour à tour responsable de qualité, directeur de production et du personnel, et directeur d'usine.
