Overview
This course is held online over 5 days on the following schedule (All times in Eastern Time Zone):
9:30 am to 5:30 pm Eastern (Will include the usual breaks and lunch)

Description
Technical personnel in plants and other engineering organizations who may not have a mechanical background are often responsible for the procurement, installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
To be effective, such personnel need to have a basic familiarity and understanding of the principles of design, operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment.
This course will meet the needs of those looking for such information in a systematic and easy-to-understand way. The focus in presentations and discussions will be on very practical aspects.
The material can also be beneficial to those with a mechanical background who are seeking to refresh their knowledge.
You will have several class workshops, including case studies and selected practical, real-world examples to solve in teamwork.

Instructor

Dr. Mike Ivanovic is President of UBAMIP Consulting, and also former Adjunct Associate Professor with over 30 years of experience in the field of thermal engineering. After working in the consulting group of ANSYS Canada Ltd., he now runs the private consulting company UBAMIP Consulting, dealing with analysis and problem solving in operation of vital stationary and rotating equipment in the process and petrochemical industry. Mike has also been active in providing training technical courses of various levels of complexity for professionals in industry in Canada, USA and overseas.
His area of expertize among others, includes design, operation and maintenance of various types of storage tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems, including pumps and compressors. The focus in the consulting projects has been on the risk assessment during operation and maintenance activities, as well as equipment failure analysis and accident prevention technologies based on the results of inspection and fitness for service studies.
