Overview
This course is held online over 2 days on the following schedule (All times in Eastern Time Zone):
10 am to 6 pm Eastern (Will include the usual breaks)
After participating in this course, you will be able to:
- Apply the basics of project execution and control
- Understand estimates and prepare control budgets
- Prepare meaningful cost reports
- Use project schedules
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and calculate life-cycle costs
Description
Project leaders and technical staff charged with delivering tangible results require objective cost assessments for funding and control decisions. The business purpose of the cost engineering function is to provide these assessments early and reliably so that a better decision may be made.
This course examines the key concepts of cost engineering, including estimating, risk analysis, cost control, scheduling and change management to achieve the best value for investments and expenditures. It also provides methodologies, procedures and tools, along with hands-on application, of use.
