This course is held online over 4 days on the following schedule (All times in Eastern Time Zone):

10:00 am to 3:00 pm Eastern (Will include a 30-minute break)

The profile report is an essential component of this course, and you must register in advance to allow our instructors appropriate time to review your profile. As a result, registration on the day of this course is not possible.

The DiSC Tools used for this course is DiSC Classic 2.0 assessment
The DiSC individual profile will be included for students to review before class. This will provide students with better insight in their own behaviour, as well as self-awareness moving forward through the course material. In addition, the course is based on leadership improvement and soft skills. It is a requirement that every student has their own laptop/computer with their web cam activated for the duration of the course.

After participating in this course, you will be able to:

Description
If you have recently been promoted to a supervisory or management position or want to sharpen your skills to become a more effective leader and manager, this course will help you master some fundamentals of business by learning the language of leadership and management.

You will learn how to make a successful transition from employee to manager and to confidently take on the mantle of leadership. You will learn the skills required to delegate responsibility and engage your employees on multiple levels. A large part of a manager's job involves getting things done through other people, and this course will help you understand how to influence and direct other people's performance. Finally, you will learn how to get the most out of your team by understanding the different behaviors within it, build trust and resolve conflicts. In addition, you will discover an insight in your own ability to lead your team to accomplish the mission.

Body language and visual clues are 50 % of how humans communicate, therefore these resources are required to establish maximum student participation. This will ensure a more beneficial learning experience for everyone!

Brian Dominguez, DSocSci, MAL, CPIM

Dr. Brian Dominguez is a Doctor of Applied and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (DSocSci), has a Master’s in Leadership, is certified in operations management, and holds a professional designation in production and inventory management (CPIM). Brian’s moto is: “learn and apply, learn and apply, learn and apply”. His strengths are: Learner, Achiever, Focus, Analytic, Input.

He has worked in diverse industries from research and education to seniors’ care, with significant experience in construction, manufacturing, and supply chain. As management consultants he works with business leaders to improve organizational performance, from strategy right down to operational performance metrics and process improvements.

The MDMOTO Group is their business and they follow a model called ARIA, which stands for Adventure, Research, Investing, and Advising.



Deyanira (Deja) Mendoza Dominguez, P. Eng, PMP- Instructor's Assistant

Deyanira (Deya) Mendoza is a Chemical Engineer, certified as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in BC, and a certified and designated Project Management Professional (PMP). She is an award-winning mentor with EGBC and an alumna of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference 2022. Deya’s moto is: “making the impossible possible”. Her strengths are: Learner, Discipline, Responsibility, Harmony, and Maximizer.
