Overview
After participating in this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace or community
- Identify and address personal biases and barriers that prevent inclusion
- Identify and address biases and barriers in the workplace or community
- Develop and implement a plan for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace or community
- Take ownership of their role in promoting diversity and inclusion and positively impacting the world around them.
- Apply the tools and knowledge provided in their own setting to create a more inclusive environment.
Description
A course designed to empower individuals to create a more inclusive environment in their workplace or community. Through interactive discussions, personal reflection, and real-world examples, participants will learn the importance of understanding and valuing differences and how to identify and address biases and barriers that prevent people from feeling included.
By the end of the course, participants will have the tools and knowledge they need to take ownership of their role in promoting diversity and inclusion and making a positive impact in the world around them.
Objectives:
- Introduction to the importance of understanding and valuing differences in the workplace or community
- Interactive discussions and personal reflection on personal biases and barriers that prevent inclusion
- Real-world examples of diversity and inclusion in action
- Identification and addressing of biases and barriers in the workplace or community
- Tools and knowledge provided to participants to promote diversity and inclusion
- Empowerment of individuals to take ownership of their role in promoting diversity and inclusion and positively impacting the world around them.
Deliverables:
- Personal reflection and insights gained from the interactive discussions
- A plan for addressing biases and barriers in the workplace or community
- A list of actionable steps for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace or community
- Implementation of their plan or steps are taken to create ownership
- Ability to apply the tools and knowledge provided in their own setting

Instructor
