Purpose and Background
The use of permeable pavements for stormwater management is gaining rapid acceptance across North America.  While permeable pavements have been around for a long-time, poor performance is not unusual.  This webinar highlights best practices for the design, construction and long-term maintenance of asphalt, concrete and interlocking concrete permeable pavements. 

Lessons learned from the preparation of a new ASCE Standard for the Design of Permeable Pavements is presented.

Instructor

David Hein, P.Eng

Dave is a principal engineer with ARA Transportation & has over 30 years of experience in the design, evaluation, and management of pavements. He has developed and completed numerous pavement design and management courses for government and private sector agencies.

A regular technical contributor to technical conferences worldwide, Mr. Hein is past chair of multiple engineering committees for the Transportation Association of Canada, FWD Users Group, American Society of Civil Engineers and the World Road Association.
