Description
This webinar provides an overview of the CAN/ULC S1001 Standard, which is required in accordance with the National Building and Fire Codes of Canada.
Engineers and Designers are required to meet this standard when new buildings are constructed in accordance with the Building Code. Building Owners and Property Managers are required to ensure that these requirements are achieved as part of the ongoing maintenance of all buildings as per the National Fire Code.
The Standard provides the methodology for verifying and documenting interconnections between building systems (such as fire alarms, sprinklers, standpipe, fire pumps, smoke control, ventilation, pressurization, fire & smoke dampers, fire shutters, door release, elevators, emergency power, signal transmitting, etc...) to ensure they satisfy the design intent and function as intended by the building code, fire code and this standard.
