The National Technical Exams Preparations Program is an exciting program to help Immigrants, New Comers, Internationally Educated Engineers prepare for both Confirmatory and Technical Exams as assigned by any Professional Engineering Provincial Body in Canada, including the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

These preparation courses not only help prepare students to pass their professional practice exams and earn their Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) in Canada, but also expand and keep their knowledge up-to-date.

Today, many internationally educated engineers are working in various non-engineering jobs or at a technical position well below their skill level and cannot advance because they do not have a proper license to practice engineering in Canada. EPIC has developed and offers technical exam preparation courses along with other programs and services that focus on informing and assisting internationally educated engineers to help them obtain their professional engineering license.

I have successfully completed PEO academic requirements by passing four engineering papers and PPE. I have attended EPIC classes and that helped me tremendously in fulfilling PEO academic requirements. I appreciate EPIC for their contribution.

All EPIC's preparation courses provide invaluable resources and aid to students who need to take engineering confirmatory exams across Canada. These classes are valid for the following engineering associations :


Special Note EPIC is a certified Educational Institution under the Income Tax Act and provides T2202A Certificates to students so that they may claim tuition/education/text-book as a tax credit. The T2202A form is emailed to students once a year.

National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE): Ethics & Law Workshops

Prepare for the National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) – at an affordable cost.

EPIC offers this workshop not only as a preparation for the National Professional Practice Examination (NPPE), but also as a general workshop for people interested in understanding the ethical and legal implications and expectations as practiced in the Engineering profession in Canada. The workshop is typically offered in two parts (A and B) on two consecutive Saturdays 3-4 times per year.

Additional services and training

Experience Report Review/Interview Preparation

When applying to the Provincial Engineering Association (such as the PEO) for your professional license, along with your academic qualifications, you are required to submit an engineering experience report. EPIC can conduct a review of your engineering experience report prior to your submission. A Professional Engineer, who is also an instructor can assist you in reviewing and revising the report to maximize its effectiveness. The fee is $160 per hour (minimum of 2 hours). The instructor also helps prepare you for your interview with hints on what to do/not to do.

Tutoring

EPIC also offers Tutoring which is a one-to-one online session with the instructor (fee $120 per hour).

This is an additional session which you can combine with your preparatory courses for revision purposes.

Many new immigrant engineers find it difficult to get into their field due to a lack of Canadian experience, and often, remain unemployed or end up in another field altogether. At EPIC, we are committed to helping foreign-trained engineers get the training they need to obtain their engineering license and find success in their chosen field.
