Description

Fire safety plans are essential when trying to meet the requirements under the Province of Ontario Fire Code. A fire safety plan helps to ensure the effective utilization of fire safety systems, equipment and procedures in a building to protect people from fire. The plan must be customized to mirror the resources of each individual building or complex of buildings.

The local fire department must approve fire safety plans, and this course will provide the steps and knowledge required to meet this requirement. Participants will also learn how to implement the fire safety plan once the fire department has approved it.

The course will comprise a lecture to maximize learning outcomes. Additionally, a question-and-answer period will be provided so participants can receive expert answers to specific questions.
