Description
The main goal of this course is to provide the participants, engineers, and construction professionals with an appreciation and understanding of surveying and its construction application, as well as the use of modern survey instruments, transit, Theodolites, level, etc., linear and angular measurements and errors, error analysis, the significance of figures, the use of computers and software, recent developments, and GPS. This basic knowledge gained in this course will help the students develop a good working understanding of the basic principles of surveying.
Course material includes measurement techniques and errors, Distance measurements principals, linear and angular measurements and errors and levelling, Control surveying, instrumentation and monitoring, Theodolites, Total station and GPS.
Who Should Attend
Geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, civil engineering technicians and technologists, field engineers, design engineers, and anyone who needs to build a background in engineering surveying. Best suited for civil engineers, consultants, engineering geologists, soil scientists, city and public works officials, city planners, and other design professionals who address construction-related slope stability and stabilization issues.
